Dolpo Region

Dolpo Region is located in upper part of the Dolpa district geographically lies in western part of Nepal and boarder of Tibet. So, Tibetan cultures are highly adapted in Dolpo Region. In local dialect Dolpo is called as Dhol-wa. The stunning scenery of Dhaulagiri Ranges is the most appreciable view of Dolpo Region Trek. Some parts of Dolpo Region lies in Shey-Phoksundo National Park, Shey-Phoksundo is world's deepest lake surrounds 706 square kilometer at an altitude of 3600m. This is the one major attraction of Dolpo Region Trek. The peoples from Dolpo are generally adherents of Bon, a religion whose origins predate Buddhism but whose modern form is officially accepted as a fifth school of Tibetan Buddhism.
